WORK in PARADISE:

Here is your opportunity to be a part of the iconic Little Palm Island Resort and Spa team . This luxury private Island resort includes 15 bungalows, spa, bar lounge, and fine dining restaurant overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Little Palm Island redefines working in paradise.


The JOB:

As the Supervisor of our Receiving Team, your energetic and professional personality will be an important part of the resort's success. We are looking for a new team member to lead the unique challenges of receiving/distributing/transporting the many items that must get on and off the Island to ensure we have everything needed to make our guest's experience a memorable one. This position is fast paced, outside in our tropical climate and on the water.

Requirements

As an applicant for the role, you:


Coordinates the unloading, inspection, and processing of incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.

Coordinates the movement of all items between Island and Shore.


Supervises, trains, and schedules receiving personnel, managing performance and employee development.

Assists departments with maintaining accurate inventory records and updates systems for received goods.


Ensures all shipping and receiving operations comply with safety policies (e.g., OSHA) and procedures.

Identifies and implements processes to increase efficiency and productivity in receiving.


Experience: Previous experience in shipping/receiving, logistics, or warehousing, with supervisory experience highly preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer systems, including inventory management programs.

Physical Ability: Capability to lift, move, and handle heavy materials. This position requires exposure to the elements in the Florida Keys in all weather conditions.

Boating experience/aptitude: The position requires transporting items by barge between shore and island.

Organization: Strong attention to detail for inventory accuracy and record-keeping.

The starting rate for this position is $30, with final compensation determined based on experience and qualifications.
