Painter
At The Lakehouse Resort, a Painter is responsible for the painting, maintenance, and repair of surfaces on the buildings, furniture, rooms, and equipment throughout the property. They are also responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining financial profitability by providing ongoing support to the engineering department.
The duties of a Painter include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Paint, maintain and repair painted, wall-covered, stained, and varnished surfaces of building structures, rooms, furniture and equipment throughout the hotel and facilities.
  • Prepare and paint surfaces using techniques and tools including, but not limited to, measuring surfaces, applying spackle and plaster, mixing paint, matching paint, and using brushes, rollers, and spray-guns.
  • Install and repair covered wall and ceiling surfaces.
  • Maintain and repair caulked, grouted, wood and masonry surfaces requiring staining, varnishing, and lacquering.
  • Support the engineering team with any additional tasks needed for the property or events.
  • Maintain clean and organized workspaces, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly.

Requirements
  • 1 Year of experience painting preferred.
  • Hospitality experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working on ladders and lifts.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed.
