Job description

Looking for Operations Manager Manager - one who will share the pride in their property and lead the team to great success at this beautiful location.  Located In Conroe - I-45 North is only three miles from historic downtown and ten miles from Lake Conroe.  Also nearby, visitors can improve their swing at the Texas National Golf Course and High Meadow Ranch or shop at the Outlets at Conroe Mall. 

Job Requirements:

  • MUST have hotel EXPERIENCE preferably HILTON
  • This is a highly hands on position involvement in prospecting, qualifying and closing business. 
  • Must be knowledgeable of Quality Assurance and franchise compliance
  • Concentration on guest service is imperative
  • Financial leadership to manage the hotels budget
  • Requires good communication skills to relate to guest, employees and management company
  • Must be able to train employees to perform effectively

Scope of Responsibility

Complete responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the entire hotel.

  • Operations - maintain highest standards and physical appearance of the property, regulate cleanliness and maintenance programs, carry out huddles and department meetings, create weekly GM report, participate in weekly GM call, review of complete month end packet of hotel operating reports, be up to date on all brand standards and franchise requirements
  • Profitability - manage hotel budget, project revenue for current month, monitor accounts receivable, maintain budgeted labor numbers, review monthly financial statements analysis
  • Sales and Promotion - work with Sales Manager to coordinate aggressive sales and marketing effort, review all contracts and locally negotiated rates, create annual marketing plan and review monthly, ensure proper revenue management is in place
  • Service - maintain high level of guest satisfaction, positively motivate team to strive for excellence in guest service, respond to all guest comments, keep team involved in monitoring comments and scores, monitor third party travel sites
  • Team Member Management - maintain a healthy work environment, clearly communicate with all departments, keep all employee documentation and manuals current, interview and fill open positions, ensure proper training and effective uniform program
  • Accounting - responsible for all cash funds and bank deposits, monitor franchise reimbursement programs, review aging reports, submit payroll, maintain purchasing and accounts payable, participate in creation of the annual budget
