Job description

This is not a job posting. It is an invitation.

There are operators, and then there are architects. The ones who do not just run a property -- they shape what it becomes. Who know the difference between managing a hotel and building one from the inside out.

This is a role for the latter.

Bally's Chicago is a $1.7 billion integrated resort rising along the Chicago River -- 500 hotel rooms, 50,000 square feet of convention space, a 3,000-seat entertainment venue, a two-acre park, 2,000 feet of riverwalk, and a casino that will redefine gaming in one of the great American cities. We are seeking a Vice President of Resort Operations to build the operational foundation before the first guest ever walks through the door.

What You Will Own

  • Pre-Opening: Design and implement all SOPs, service standards, and systems integrations from the ground up; lead team selection and culture-setting across all divisions
  • Hotel Operations: Full oversight of 500 rooms including Front Office, Bell, Concierge, and all guest-facing touchpoints; drive occupancy, RevPAR, and guest satisfaction
  • Housekeeping: Establish cleanliness standards, turn protocols, and labor models that set the benchmark for Chicago hospitality
  • Facilities: Oversee VP of Facilities and full campus operations; protect the integrity of a $1.7 billion asset
  • Spa and Retail: Develop and operate the resort spa and all retail outlets; build revenue through programming, packaging, and upsell culture
  • Valet and Parking: Own arrival and departure; establish throughput protocols and service standards for a high-volume downtown environment
  • Financial Performance: Own departmental P&L, labor models, and budget; use data to benchmark against best-in-class resorts
  • Partner Coordination: Primary bridge between resort operations, Levy Restaurants, Casino, Convention, and Entertainment leadership

Competitive Salary and Benefits Package:  $180,000-200,000 base
