Ryder is Now Hiring Semi-Local CDL-A Truck Drivers in Detroit, MI! Top Drivers Earn $2,000+ per Week - $4,000 Sign-on Bonus
Tanker Required at Time of Interview


Pay, Home Time & More:
  • Average $1,800 per week, with top drivers earning $2,000 per week
  • Solo Miles Pay: $0.62 per mile with 1,800 miles per week
  • Solo Stops Pay: $50 per stop with 5 stops per week
  • Sign-on bonus: $4,000, paid half at 30 days, half at 90 days
  • Route: Local Home Daily and Regional with up to 3 nights out per week
  • 80 hours PTO your first year, starting day 1 (use it or get paid for it)
  • Uniforms, cell phone, and boot allowance provided
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits after 30 days


Schedule, Freight & Equipment:
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday
  • Start time: 3:00 AM - 8:00 AM
  • Deliver solo to: OH, MI, IN, PA, WV, MS, AL, GA, IL, TN, AR, SC, NC, MN, & Upstate NY
  • Tractor Type: Straight Tanker/Sleeper Cab
  • Trailer Type: Liquid Tanker Trailer 28’ & 48'
  • Freight: Touch – Driver will connect hoses and pressurize trailer w/assistance 
  • Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
  • Endorsements: Tanker at time of interview
  • 1 Year of Tanker Experience Required, will consider close to a year of experience
  • Must have PASSPORT or ENHANCED DL to possibly enter Canada
  • FAST Pass preferred

Requirements:
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • 9 months of experience within the past 3 years
  • Must have Tanker endorsements at time of interview
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is preferred
  • Hazmat experience is preferred
  • 6 months of tanker experience is required
  • 1+ years of experience is strongly preferred
  • Must have a valid passport or enhanced license to drive into Canada
  • FAST card preferred
  • Assistance can be offered to help you obtain
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
