The Director of Rental Sales and Distribution leads the strategic rental revenue initiatives, managing high-level account relationships, forecasting, and team performance to maximize profitability. Key duties include developing rental sales strategies, managing client relationships, analyzing market trends, and driving growth in rental and group. Provide strategic direction and leadership of the Rental Group Sales and Business Development teams. Development of the prospecting and sales strategy for Rental Operations focused on generating incremental revenue through new and existing distribution channels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Cultivate strategic alliances with B2B & B2C distribution partners with clientele that complement the HICV brand to generate new room rental revenue streams.
  • Strategic direction of the group prospecting and sales strategy to exceed annual revenue targets.
  • Evaluate and adjust sales materials, processes and tools to improve experience throughout the sales funnel and ultimately conversion.
  • Monitor key metrics/outputs from Performance Marketing initiatives and recommend adjustments accordingly to ensure maximum return on investments.
  • Provide leadership and development of Rental Sales teams by using expertise to coach for optimal performance. (3 Direct Reports and 14 indirect)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years hotel/resort sales or experience
  • 5+ years leadership experience
  • Expert knowledge of hotel distribution channels
  • Strong communication and persuasive interpersonal skills
  • Strong proactive decision-making ability
  • Coordinates all sales efforts across the brand enterprise with expertise in all market segments.
  • Works directly with Revenue Management to maximize revenues for each property and destination.
  • Works directly with HICV Legal and Sales teams for contract negotiations across all segments.
  • Develops process and procedures for group market development at key resorts.
  • Works closely with IHG Partners including Call Centers, Revenue Management and Sales to maximize revenue generated by IHG channels.
  • Establishes budget and ensure cohesion throughout the year to ensure correct spend and capture
  • Works directly with Performance Marketing to ensure digital market penetration and proper branding
  • Develops OTA and channel specific marketing budgets for internal expenditures
  • Works directly with Revenue Management for Strategic initiatives to drive revenue through contracted channels
  • Continually researches and develops new markets for new and existing products
  • Works with existing teams to ensure accurate business specific reporting
  • Assists in the implementation of rental operations best practices including but not limited to devising written procedures, training and coaching reservations counselors, and disseminating procedures and information to other departments.
  • Works closely with Resort Operations to ensure understanding of product and policies
  • Manages personnel functions such as selection, orientation, performance reviews, discipline, counseling, and scheduling.
  • Helps develop leadership talent by acting as a mentor for direct reports.
  • May be required to do other duties and special projects for Vice President of Revenue Management
  • IHG Experience preferred
