The Business Development Manager (BDM), LATAM supports Deal Leaders in advancing hotel development opportunities from initial qualification through transaction execution. The role is responsible for coordinating deal activities, managing transaction workflows, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring the timely completion of deliverables required to move deals through the development process. By maintaining accurate pipeline information, driving accountability across stakeholders, and proactively identifying and resolving process obstacles, the BDM helps ensure efficient execution of active development opportunities while building the skills and experience necessary to assume increasing responsibility within the Development organization. The Role
  • Coordinate assigned development opportunities on behalf of the Deal Leader by tracking milestones, managing action items, and ensuring deals progress efficiently through the development lifecycle.
  • Support Deal Leaders by sourcing and analyzing data, preparing, organizing, and maintaining transaction materials, including presentations, approval packages, due diligence documentation, and other deal-related deliverables.
  • Coordinate with internal business partners (Legal, Feasibility, Design, Development Finance, and other functions) to obtain required analyses, approvals, and documentation needed to advance active deals.
  • Maintain accurate and current deal information, documentation, task lists, and pipeline status within designated systems to ensure visibility into transaction progress and priorities.
  • Monitor deal timelines and proactively identify outstanding deliverables, process bottlenecks, and potential risks; communicate issues and recommend solutions to the Deal Leader to maintain transaction momentum.
  • Facilitate communication and follow-up among Deal Leaders, internal stakeholders, and external parties to ensure timely completion of agreed-upon actions and deliverables.
  • Coordinate internal approvals and governance activities by ensuring required documentation is complete, stakeholders are engaged, and decision materials are submitted in accordance with established processes.
  • Develop expertise in Hyatt's development processes, transaction workflows, and approval requirements while progressively assuming greater responsibility for supporting increasingly complex development opportunities.
Qualifications Experience Required
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in hospitality, commercial real estate, investment analysis, or related industry.
  • Highly organized, process-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive self-starter with a demonstrated desire to learn and progress toward a lead Developer role.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with keen attention to detail and accountability for deliverables.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with CRM and BI tools.
Experience Preferred
  • Advanced degree in Hospitality Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with hotel development, franchise contract sales, and/or commercial real estate transactions
