The Hotel Accounting Clerk manages daily financial tasks, such as processing invoices, recording revenue, handling payments (cash, credit cards, petty cash), reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end closing, ensuring accuracy for reports and smooth hotel operations, often using accounting software and Excel. It's an entry-level finance role crucial for the hotel's financial health, requiring strong attention to detail and organization.
Responsibilities
• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Processing invoices, verifying receipts, and managing vendor payments.
• Revenue Tracking: Recording daily revenue, processing deposits, and preparing cash reports.
• Reconciliation: Reconciling credit card statements, house banks, and general ledger accounts.
• Financial Reporting: Assisting with journal entries and supporting month-end closing.
