Job description

Receptionist PRN (As Needed)

We are currently seeking to hire a per diem Front Desk Receptionist. The schedule for this position will include weekdays and weekends. Our ideal candidates will possess strong multitasking skills, detail-oriented work habits, the ability to interact with all hospital guests with compassion and courtesy, as well as demonstrate professional, effective communication skills in stressful situations.

The Receptionist is responsible for:

  • Greeting all staff, patients, and visitors to Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services.
  • Screening guests to the hospital in following with facility protocols.
  • Answering main hospital telephone line and directing callers to appropriate individual(s).
  • Ensuring the orderliness and overall organization of the reception area(s) and lobby throughout workday.
  • Being aware of and monitoring calls and interactions for potential HIPAA violations.
  • Performing other clerical support as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Two years previous experience in customer service role. Prefer previous experience in healthcare customer service role.
  • Skills: Strong customer service skills and communication skills with the ability to deal with challenging situations and individuals with professionalism and respect.
