Job description

Hospitality Services Associate
Shift Hours: 5am-1:30pm or 11:45am-8:15pm
Position Summary:
Our Hospitality Associates work directly with Cooks and other Hospitality Services team members to provide the best possible experience for patients and families being cared for in the hospital. Hospitality Associates demonstrate excellent customer service skills, strong communication ability, creative problem solving and high standards for quality and cleanliness. All of our Associates are service focused team players who come to work with a positive attitude every day.
Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency, excellent work ethic and an exceptionally positive attitude
  • Follows clinical standards designated for individual patient orders
  • Ensures correct and prompt delivery of food with exceptional customer service
  • Work with Clinical Staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of patient meals
  • Maintains strict sanitation standards, monitors hot and cold food temperatures
  • Works as part of a team and independently at times
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
  • Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Has current Idaho Food Handler's card or must obtain within 90 days of hire
  • One year of experience working in food service preferred
  • One year of customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to work and problem solve in a fast paced environment

Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs
  • Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
  • Typical equipment used in a clinical job
  • Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
