ABOUT THIS ROLE
M18 is seeking an Account Coordinator to join our Real Estate team. This position provides a unique opportunity for an early career communications professional to join a talented and motivated team working on some of the leading real estate projects in the country. You will support a variety of strategic communications plans and contribute to client and account management, and media outreach. This role is ideal for candidates with experience or personal interest in real estate, architecture and design.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented and eager to grow in a fast-paced agency environment while developing strong communications and client service skills.
Role location: This role is based in our New York, N.Y. office on a hybrid basis. The teamis in-office up to 3 daysper week.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
As an Account Coordinatoron the Real Estate team you will...
  • Draft public relations materials including fact sheets, meeting summaries and agendas, status reports, plus other items
  • Help prepare strategies, timelines, reports, and other client-facing collateral for our senior PR team utilizing Muckrack and other PR tools
  • Proactively monitor incoming press coverage for clients, including tracking upcoming placements
  • Research press opportunities and editorial calendars
  • Oversee meeting planning and scheduling for the senior PR team while managing media lists and other databases
  • Assist with administrative duties, including taking messages, organizing files, and scanning press articles
  • Become familiar with local, national, international, and online media outlets and writers covering real estate and pertinent topics

Essential skills:
  • Internship or other relevant experience in strategic communications
  • Interest in PR specifically within the travel and hospitality space
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments at once, work quickly, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
