Job description
The nine-month full-time position is offered as either a non-tenure track or tenure-track position with a 24-credit annual teaching load. Applicants for the non-tenure track position must have a master's degree in hospitality or business and ten or more years of experience in a hospitality-related industry. A doctoral degree in hospitality, business, or a closely related field is required for tenure. Experience teaching at the undergraduate level is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Teach the equivalent of 24 credits per academic year, comprised of Hospitality courses including Food and Beverage Management (HSP315), Facilities Planning and Management (HSP312), Accommodations Management (HSP316), and more.
- Advise students as assigned.
- Coordinate and supervise student internship and/or cooperative education experiences appropriate for Hospitality and Business majors.
- Work with the division chair and deans to identify appropriate adjunct instructors for the hospitality program.
- Teach in both traditional and hybrid learning environments.
- Lead assessment activities for the program wherever coursework is delivered, including offsite and branch campus locations.
- Hold regular office hours on a weekly basis.
- Respond in a timely manner to calls or emails from students, colleagues, or supervisors.
- Participate in institutional service opportunities as assigned.
- Use university technology as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in hospitality or business and ten or more years of experience in hospitality
- DBA, EDD, or PHD in Hospitality or closely related field. Candidates who are ABD and making satisfactory progress toward completion will also be considered.
- Successful teaching experience in higher education is preferred.
- Relevant industry experience, credentials, and certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience teaching courses in Sport Management and Leadership highly desirable.
