Want to work for a firm that's taking concrete steps toward Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion? We’re looking for an Interior Designer I to join our Interiors team in our Sacramento office. 

The Interior Designer I provides technical and administrative support to project teams regarding software, programs, materials, processes, and procedures. This person is expected to develop an understanding of general concepts, standards, and team dynamics as they relate to their assigned projects and studio. Provides basic technical and design documentation under the supervision of senior staff or project leads

As the Interior Designer I, you will…

  • Supports project teams by producing BIM/Revit and 3D design drawings and models from sketches, verbal direction, and project documentation while developing strong technical visualization skills.
  • Assists with interior design development, including finish selections, furniture specifications, space planning, furniture layouts, schedules, and applying design concepts within Revit and SketchUp.
  • Conducts project-related research and develops knowledge of building design, construction methods, materials, and applicable codes.
  • Supports project delivery and construction administration activities, including limited coordination with consultants under the direction of project leads.
  • Prepares presentation and marketing materials and develops effective communication skills for collaboration with project teams and clients.
  • Demonstrates organization, time management, and attention to detail by completing assigned tasks accurately, meeting deadlines, and proactively seeking guidance and additional responsibilities.
  • Follows The Lionakis Way design, production, and quality-control standards, understanding project scope, reviewing work plans with project leads, and performing self-checks in preparation for QA/QC reviews.

Interior Designer I Qualifications – The Must-Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or equivalent or Associates degree and 2+ years related experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Proficient with BIM/Revit

Interior Designer I Qualifications – The Like-to-Haves

  • Basic skills in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and SketchUp
  • Interior design internship experience

Salary Range: $53,500- $66,800 annually. Compensation and level DOE.
