Design Public Group is in search of an Executive Sales Director to join our team supporting our Chicago market and surrounding territory.
Overview:
In this role, you will focus on driving sales to contract dealers and hospitality procurement firms directly as well as influencing A&D specifications.  Given the breadth of the DPG catalog and the continued growth of ancillary furniture in the marketplace, there are significant opportunities to grow your book of business within your territory across a wide variety of projects.  DPG has a well-established presence and reputation in the market and surrounding territory.  
 
What it takes:
 
  • Develop and grow new markets within the assigned territory, increase budgeted sales and increase market share. 
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision makers and influencers with organizations with complex environments, both new and existing. 
  • Continually implement innovative ways to improve processes, products, and client experience. 
  • Responsible for revenue growth and new product sales of Design Public Group to expand share of the existing customers’ business. 
  • Create a business plan for assigned territory that is consistently maintained and captures existing business and relationships with growth plans for 6-month, 12 months, and 24 months. 
  • Collaborate to help develop existing account strategies and tactics, local team/dealer integration, presentations, corporate visits, mock-ups, proposals, pricing, etc. 
  • Manage the identification, tracking, and development of sales opportunities with Salesforce. 
  • Maintain relevant reporting for designated territory. 
  • Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.

What it takes:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience required; 5 years of experience preferred.
