What do hospital teens do?

Hospital Teen volunteers typically assist with non-clinical tasks such as greeting visitors, delivering supplies, transporting paperwork, and providing comfort to patients through conversation or activities. Depending on the hospital’s needs and your interests, you may also help clerical staff, support special events, or guide families to various departments. While the tasks are designed to be suitable for teens, the work still requires professionalism, confidentiality, and compassion. Strong communication, reliability, and teamwork are essential soft skills that help Hospital Teens interact with patients, families, and staff. These skills ensure that Hospital Teens contribute positively to the hospital community while gaining valuable real-world experience.

How to get a job at a hospital as a teenager?

Hospital teens can seek entry-level positions such as hospital volunteers, patient aides, or administrative assistants, often requiring at least 16 years old and sometimes a work permit. Gaining relevant skills like basic first aid or CPR certification and demonstrating responsibility can improve chances; some roles may have limited hours for minors.
