Job description

Unit Secretary

The Unit Secretary is responsible for the management of clerical and secretarial duties of the Nursing Unit, exhibiting flexibility, the ability of working with all members of the treatment team, and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with physicians, guests, patients, and agency/contracted agency personnel.

Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous Unit Secretary experience preferred in a health care setting

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Detail-oriented, able to meet strict time frames
