Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital Emergency Driver in Smyrna, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Healthcare Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a hospital location, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide compassionate customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. This driving position offers the opportunity to support a caring environment while working with an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $20.20 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requests for assistance, disturbances, medical-related emergencies, and access concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, waiting areas, parking locations, and the facility perimeter, while reporting security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping to support an orderly environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Document incidents, observations, and other security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
