Position Highlights

Spencer Hospital is a rural hospitallocated in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.

This position qualifies for hiring incentives. The amount of incentives offered may be discussed during the interview process.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care for post-operative and acute care patients requiring hospitalization
  • Assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specified work period
  • Collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care
  • Must have knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients

Requirements:

  • Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems
  • IA RN license or compact state
  • BLS and ACLS - inhouse certification available upon hire
  • New grads encouraged to apply - Nurse Residency Program upon hire!

Schedule:

  • 72 hours a pay period.12 hour shifts. Day/Night. Holidays. Weekends
  • The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
