Job description

The Cleaning Professional is responsible for preforming high-quality cleaning based on industry standard production levels for the specific class of building assigned. The Cleaning Professional is charged with executing tasks based on the scope of work and willingly adapt to changes base on customer needs.

Schedule:Monday-Friday, Summers: 7-11am, 12-4pm

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Empty, clean all waste receptacles, and remove wastepaper and rubbish from the premises to the assigned designated area, damp wipe trash receptacles as necessary.
  • Vacuum all rugs in carpeted areas. Spot clean rugs when needed.
  • Swept, dust and mop floors.
  • Dust and wipe clean all office furniture, fixtures, paneling, and windowsills.
  • Dump, wipe, and polish glass furniture tops.
  • Clean all marks and smudges from glass, doors, doorframes, entrance glass, and partitions, etc.
  • Damp mop or clean any spillage in office and public areas as required.
  • Dust all pictures frames, charts, graphs, and similar wall hangings.
  • Dust all ceiling air conditioning diffusers, vents, wall grilles, and registers.
  • Dust all surfaces including lighting fixtures, including glass and plastics enclosures.
  • Keep janitor closets/storage/slop sink rooms in clean, neat, and orderly condition.
  • Wipe clean and polish all metal hardware fixtures and other bright work.
  • Dust and/or wash all signage boards as required, remove fingerprints and smudges.
  • Clean entrance door glass inside and outside.
  • Bathroom Cleaning (cleaning fixtures, replacing disposable goods, disinfecting surfaces.
  • Sweep or dump mop outside entrances areas.
  • Properly clean and buff tile floor services as need.
  • Respond to emergency phone calls as assigned.
  • Perform snow removal based on assigned building scope of work.

Job duties or responsibilities may be modified as need to reflect changing priorities and/or work conditions per location. Specific responsibilities for each individual as cleaner will be determined by client expectations, Account Manager / Supervisor discretion.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must have ability to work with other crewmembers and be able to take direction from supervisor.
  • Must be able to perform all physical aspects of the above job duties, heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work outside
  • Previous experience in custodial hospital cleaning preferred but not required.
Qualifications:
  • Valid State drivers license. Must have own transportation.
  • Must be able to take direction, to work with minimal supervision, and to function cooperatively as part of a team.
  • Must be knowledgeable about the care of different types of commercial carpeting/flooring.
  • Experience in the operation of buffers, scrubbers, extractors, sweeping, and vacuuming a plus but not required.
  • Must have working knowledge of chemicals used for different types of commercial carpeting/flooring.
  • Successful completion of Background Check.
