Job description

Environmental Services Assistant Job Duties:

According to the established policies and procedures, cleans and sanitizes ancillary and patient support areas of the hospital in order to maintain a high standard of cleanliness, sanitation and orderliness throughout the area.

  • Move furniture and other equipment; prepares set-up for meeting; and cleans off-site and contracted areas of the hospital. Cleaning consists of: offices, halls, stairwells, stairs, elevators, diagnostic area and all of their furnishings, floors, halls and restroom facilities.
  • Distributes linen to all patient care areas.
  • Performs all routine, terminal, and isolation cleaning on a timely basis. Includes high/low dusting, wall/ceiling/vent/lighting cleaning, cleaning of restroom facilities and floor care.
  • Assist clinical staff at their directive as appropriate.

Environmental Services Assistant Minimum Requirements:

  • Entry Level
  • Basic Skill Set
  • Must be able to read, write and follow written instructions and product labels.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, hear and comprehend the English language.

Salary Range: $14.15 to $21.00/hr (based on experience)
