We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated Overnight Technician Assistant to join our team. This individual will play a key role in supporting the comfort and care of our hospitalized patients while keeping the hospital organized, stocked, and ready for the surgical team each morning. Working alongside our overnight technician, this team member brings a strong work ethic, close attention to detail, and a genuine passion for patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

Patient Support

-Walk, feed, and water hospitalized patients on schedule, and note appetite, eliminations, and general demeanor

-Keep patients clean, dry, and comfortable bedding changes, repositioning, and enrichment

-Assist the overnight technician with restraint, treatments, and patient handling as directed

-Record walks, feedings, and observations in ezyVet and Vet Radar

-Alert the overnight technician promptly to any change in a patient's condition or comfort


Hospital Cleaning & Organization

-Clean and disinfect kennels and runs, and reset them for the next day's patients

-Run and fold laundry throughout the shift

-Vaccuum, mop, and sanitize surfaces to prepare for the next day

-Restock work areas and update inventory as needed

-Clean dishes and litterboxes as needed

-Assist central sterile with cleaning and prepping instrumentation as able



Requirements

-2+ years of experience in veterinary care strongly preferred.

-Comfortable handling, walking, and restraining patients of all sizes, including post-operative and mobility-limited animals.

-Able to follow instructions and protocols reliably and manage time effectively without consistent direct supervision.

-Basic computer skills; experience with EzyVet, VetRadar, or a similar EMR is a plus but not required.

-Genuine care for patient comfort, a team-first mindset, and pride in doing the job right.

-Clear, respectful communicator who speaks up early when something seems off.

-Self-starter who takes ownership of a clean, organized, and well-stocked hospital.


Schedule

-Overnight shifts available M-F nights (several schedule options may exist)

-No weekends

-Work Location: In person

-Occasional flexibility may be needed for out of hours admits, discharges, or emergency cases.
