Job description

Purradise Cat Care is Hawaii's only cat-exclusive veterinary hospital. We offer top-notch veterinary care and boarding for our feline patients in a dog-free environment (no barking or wet dog smell here!).

We are dedicated to keeping the cats of this world physically healthy and helping them thrive socially and emotionally. We are also equally dedicated to the health and well-being of our staff.

As a Veterinary Assistant with Purradise Cat Care, you will assist the veterinarians and Animal Care Specialists (Veterinary Technicians) with patient care and treatment, monitor hospitalized cats, maintain inventory, prepare prescriptions, perform routine in-house laboratory work, perform some housekeeping tasks, and educate clients regarding veterinary care and procedures.

This position requires a working knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs, common diseases, symptoms, and means of transmission, treatment and prevention, and other basic preventative health care recommendations.

Minimum 1 year of experience working in a veterinary setting preferred.
