Job description

JOB SUMMARY
General duties include, but not limited to maintaining and cleaning public areas, restrooms and waiting rooms within hospitals and other medical facilities. Duties also include, disinfecting exam and procedure rooms as well as case and terminal cleaning in operating rooms. This position reports to the Site Manager.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS - ESSENTIALS FUNCTIONS
  • Report to and follow the directions of building supervision. Relieve, assist, or fill in temporarily on other jobs assigned by the supervisor
  • In Restrooms - clean and sanitize all surfaces including stall walls and doors. Clean and sanitize all sinks and toilets. Clean mirrors. Sweep and mop floors. Remove trash and replace bags. Restock all paper products and soap.
  • Offices and cubicles - empty trash containers and replace bags. Dust all horizontal surfaces. High and low dust to account specifications. Do not move or disturb anything on desks or credenzas. Vacuum carpeted floors as you leave an office or cubicle.
  • Hallways and public areas - empty all trash containers and replace bags. Spot clean doors and walls as needed. Dust all flat surfaces. Vacuum all carpeted floors or dust mop and damp mop all hard floor surfaces. Place chairs, sofas and tables and other furniture in waiting areas in an orderly fashion.
  • Clean and disinfect exam and procedure rooms. Case clean and terminal clean operating rooms.
  • Immediately report all accidents, incidents, damages and client concerns to your supervisor.
  • Clean all tools, supplies, and equipment after each use and store in their proper place.
  • Adhere to all applicable safety practices.
  • Promote and exhibit Company culture and values.
  • Ensure facilities are clean, projecting a positive image of the Company.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug testing
  • Previous cleaning in a medical facility preferred.
  • High school Diploma is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to wear PPE for extended periods of time

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking and kneeling
  • Ability to lift up to 5 to 15 pounds on a regular basis
