Job description

The Carpenter constructs repairs and maintains structural wood work, furniture, equipment and fixtures with the hospital and hospital and related buildings. Erects necessary partitions and works on assigned rehabilitation and improvement projects, leaving job site free of debris and broom clean.

Replaces worn boards and moldings. Repairs and installs locks, door checks, windows and other internal and external parts of the hospital building. Sketches plans, reads and interprets blueprints and manufacturer's specification. Utilizes all types of electrical and manual carpentry equipment/tools and maintains these in good working order.
