Job description

Power & Construction Group, Inc. provides a variety of commercial construction services to support our clients, emphasizing honesty, integrity, safety and hard work. We collaborate closely with our clients throughout every project phase, crafting custom solutions tailored to their needs. Our diverse team of creative problem solvers is dedicated to delivering projects safely, reliably, and innovatively. Our Civil Division is looking to add Experienced Laborers/Mason's to their growing team. You would be performing work with new facility construction, facility expansions, structural concrete work, and rigging.
Responsibilities:
  • This position would have potential weekly travel within New York State.
  • Performs rough and finished carpentry as per specifications from beginning to end including new construction, maintenance and repair.
  • Constructs concrete forms: pours, finishes, and repairs concrete pads, footings, stains, and related items.
  • Operates power saws, hand tools, and other machinery and equipment, in a safe manner.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams; follows oral instructions, as needed.
  • Performs general cleanup at job sites and assists in various laborer duties as assigned to ensure success of job.

Requirements:
  • Basic construction knowledge: can work power tools, read drawings, work a simple tape measure
  • Hands-on experience with commercial/civil construction projects
  • Skillful and competent with a variety of tools required to perform civil construction work
  • Can perform rough carpentry per specifications
  • A strong team player with a demonstrated track record of taking initiative to support the team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Can follow instructions provided by the Foreman/Site Superintendent and seeks to go above and beyond instructions; proactive in jobsite clean up
 

Compensation:
