About Preferred Care Home Health

Since 2004, Preferred Care Home Health has been providing compassionate, high-quality care to patients and families throughout Florida. Our success is built on strong clinical outcomes, trusted community relationships, and a team that believes great results come from great people working together.

At Preferred Care, we value integrity, collaboration, accountability, and results. We combine compassionate patient care with innovative technology and streamlined processes to support our clinicians, strengthen outcomes, and create a positive experience for the patients and families we serve.

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to provide strategic and operational leadership as we continue to build and grow our hospice program in the Naples market.

Position Summary

The Executive Director will have overall responsibility for the leadership, operations, financial performance, compliance, quality, and growth of the Hospice Program.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for an experienced healthcare executive who understands the importance of balancing exceptional patient and family care with operational excellence, regulatory compliance, financial accountability, and sustainable growth.

The Executive Director will lead and develop the hospice management team, monitor key operational and financial metrics, support census growth, and ensure the program consistently meets regulatory, quality, and patient-care standards.

As a key representative of Preferred Care in the community, this leader will also establish and strengthen relationships with hospitals, physicians, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, managed care organizations, and other healthcare partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of hospice operations, performance, and growth initiatives.
  • Develop and manage budgets while maintaining strong financial accountability.
  • Monitor census, staffing, productivity, quality, patient satisfaction, financial performance, and other key performance indicators.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the hospice management team and staff.
  • Build a high-performing culture centered on quality, accountability, collaboration, and patient-centered care.
  • Drive census growth through strong community relationships and referral development.
  • Partner with marketing and business development leadership to expand Preferred Care's hospice presence in the community.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, SNFs, assisted living communities, managed care organizations, and other referral sources.
  • Ensure compliance with Medicare, state and federal regulations, licensing, certification, and survey requirements.
  • Promote continuous quality improvement, patient and family satisfaction, and positive clinical outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, financial performance, staffing, and overall program effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with organizational leadership to support strategic initiatives and long-term growth.
  • Serve as a visible and professional representative of Preferred Care within the healthcare community.
  • Help attract, retain, and develop talented team members who reflect Preferred Care's commitment to compassionate, high-quality care.
What We're Looking For
  • 10+ years of healthcare experience, with significant hospice leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of senior management or executive-level healthcare leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of hospice operations, Medicare reimbursement, regulatory requirements, and survey readiness.
  • Proven experience with budgeting, financial oversight, strategic planning, and program growth.
  • Demonstrated success developing referral relationships and expanding business within the healthcare community.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to build, motivate, mentor, and hold teams accountable for results.
  • A collaborative leadership style with a strong commitment to patient and family experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout the service area.
Why Preferred Care?

At Preferred Care, we believe great care starts with great people. Our leaders are supported by a team that values collaboration, accountability, and doing what is right for our patients, families, and employees.

Joining Preferred Care means becoming part of an organization with more than 20 years of experience serving Florida communities, a strong commitment to clinical excellence, and a culture focused on supporting our teams while delivering meaningful results.

This is an opportunity for an experienced hospice leader to make a direct impact on program growth, team development, operational excellence, community relationships, and the patient and family experience.
