Job description

The Valdez Fire Department is currently accepting applications for a Hydrant & Hose Tester. Primary duties include: Under general supervision of Fire Staff, test hydrants & fire hoses and perform general skilled & unskilled laborer duties as assigned. The successful candidate must be able to locate fire hydrants in the Valdez community and must be able to lift 75 pounds repetitively with or without assistance.

Work is preformed predominately out of doors. Minimum Qualifications: Must be 18 years old or older. Must have a valid Drivers License and must possess a clear driving record for the past five years; will be required to undergo driving record review.

Rate of pay is $22.78 per hour, 37.5 hours per week for 8 weeks. Position open until filled.
