This remote position allows for flexibility in your day-to-day routine, while maintaining a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM, with some flexibility based on patient needs. As a therapist in a detox center setting, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a diverse patient population, engaging with clients in a supportive and therapeutic environment. You will collaborate with a dedicated interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, ensuring a holistic approach to care that prioritizes both mental and emotional health.

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs, employing solution-focused therapeutic methodologies.
• Craft personalized treatment plans that incorporate various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
• Maintain meticulous clinical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational standards, while documenting patient progress and treatment effectiveness.
• Engage actively in case consultations and peer supervision meetings to share insights, improve therapeutic techniques, and enrich the quality of care across the treatment team.
• Deliver individualized psychoeducation to patients and their families, equipping them with essential knowledge about mental health conditions and supporting their navigation of available resources.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health research and contribute to the enhancement of therapeutic practices within the organization.

As a Mental Health Therapist at New Horizon Behavioral Health Center, you will work primarily with clients undergoing detoxification and treatment for substance use disorders, as well as those facing acute mental health challenges. Your role entails providing compassionate care to individuals from diverse backgrounds, focusing on recovery-oriented approaches that promote sustainable mental wellness.

• Education: A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: An active license to practice as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Georgia.
• Therapeutic Skills: Proficiency in utilizing evidence-based therapy interventions, particularly those tailored to meet the unique emotional and psychological needs of clients.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling you to establish rapport and build trust with clients and colleagues alike.

• Previous experience in a mental health or addiction treatment setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with group therapy facilitation and case management.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative team atmosphere, contributing positively to interdisciplinary discussions.
