Automotive Service Advisor - Honda of Libertyville

Honda of Libertyville, part of the Murgado Automotive Group, is hiring an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our service team in Libertyville, IL. This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional who enjoys building relationships, coordinating repairs, and helping drivers feel confident about their vehicle service experience.

As a Service Advisor, you will be the main point of contact between our customers and technicians. You will greet customers, listen to their concerns, explain recommended repairs, prepare estimates, and keep customers updated throughout the service process.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome customers to the service department and provide a professional, helpful experience.
  • Listen to customer concerns and document vehicle issues accurately.
  • Review technician recommendations and clearly explain needed maintenance or repairs.
  • Prepare service estimates, obtain customer approvals, and communicate pricing and timelines.
  • Schedule service appointments and keep customers informed throughout the repair process.
  • Maintain accurate service records and customer communication notes.
  • Partner with technicians, parts, and service management to ensure timely, high-quality repairs.
  • Support customer satisfaction by following up, resolving concerns, and delivering excellent service.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or in a customer-facing automotive service role preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to explain service recommendations clearly and professionally.
  • Knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair processes.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced service lane environment.
  • Proficiency with computers and automotive service software.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record preferred.
