We're seeking an experienced Honda Service Manager to lead our service department as the dealership transitions to a new Honda service department in Martinsburg, WV. This is a unique opportunity to help build the foundation for long-term success while supporting a dealership that will undergo a significant facility remodel to align with Honda brand standards and enhance the customer experience.

As Service Manager, you'll play a key role in building and developing a high-performing team, establishing operational processes, and driving customer satisfaction, profitability, and growth.

Requirements

What You'll Do

  • Lead all fixed operations and daily service department activities, including staffing, workflow management, productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Recruit, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing team of Service Advisors, Technicians, and support staff.
  • Drive service sales growth, customer retention, and department profitability through strong leadership and operational excellence.
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), including RO count, labor sales, technician efficiency, productivity, proficiency, ELR, CSI, and warranty performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Honda manufacturer requirements, dealership policies, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Maintain efficient shop scheduling, technician dispatching, and repair order workflow to maximize throughput and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with Parts, Sales, and Leadership teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience and support overall dealership success.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and employee development.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous Honda Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager, Fixed Operations Manager, or Service Director experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of automotive service management or fixed operations leadership experience in a dealership environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Honda warranty processes, service operations, manufacturer programs, and performance standards.
  • Proven track record of improving customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and department profitability.
  • Experience leading and developing Service Advisors and Technicians.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and implement action plans to achieve business goals.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Honda dealership service leadership experience.
  • Honda manufacturer training, certifications, or service management experience.
  • CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or comparable dealership management system experience.
  • Strong understanding of fixed operations financials, forecasting, and KPI management.
  • Experience with technician recruitment, retention, and workforce development.
