Home caregivers assist clients with special needs so that they can live independently or at home rather than in a special medical care facility. In this career, you may perform simple personal care duties, such as helping clients prepare meals, doing routine housekeeping, providing your clients with transport, or simply being a companion for a few hours a day. You can also find jobs with more complex responsibilities, such as helping your client with medication and monitoring their health or treatment regimens. As a home caregiver, you may have several clients or work exclusively with one person.
