Position Summary:
A Barista is a professional who makes and serves beverages such as coffee, tea and specialty beverages. They are responsible for taking customer orders and payments. They also clean and sanitize their work areas, seating areas and equipment/tools.

  • Build, support and live the culture and core values of Abundant Church
  • Support and run with the vision of Abundant church and our Pastors
  • Do whatever it takes to build the Kingdom of God, His Church, and His people

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
Education and Experience:
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to foster relationships and partnerships.
  • Multi-tasking and time management to meet deadlines while remaining flexible and open to change.
  • Highly organized and skilled with social platforms and software
  • Love working on a team and a desire to constantly be learning

Knowledge and Skills:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Up to 12 months of related work experience.

Spiritual Requirements:
  • The incumbent in this position must abide by the Abundant Lifestyle Agreement and the Abundant Culture Guide and must attend at least one Abundant church service per week.

Physical Requirements:
  • Can lift a minimum of 15 pounds

Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Greeting customers as they enter
  • Providing customers with drink options and answering their questions regarding ingredients
  • Taking orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
  • Prepare beverages following recipes
  • Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries and muffins
  • Comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Help to train volunteers
