Now Hiring- Systematic Skill Builder for Adults with Autism

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time available!

Pay: $22.00-$26.00/ hour (based on experience and education)

Focus Behavioral Health strives to help every individual we work with reach their full potential, and we are currently seeking caring and compassionate Systematic Skill Building Staff to work with adults with Autism or an Intellectual & Developmental Disorder (IDD) diagnosis.

Currently, New Focus Employees are eligible for up to $500.00 in bonuses within their first 90 days!

Systematic Skill Building Staff will provide direct and indirect support to individuals with autism in their homes and a community setting. SSBs are responsible for teaching and supporting skills related to community integration, social skills, and activities of daily living using systematic approaches of applied behavioral analysis interventions.

*This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or other human services-related fields. An unrelated degree is qualified, if you hold 3+ years of Autism experience.*

This position also requires a valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and clear criminal background checks. There are full-time and part-time positions available.

Job Purpose: The SBS position is responsible for implementing and training CS staff and participants for skills based on the goals and objectives for participants.

Job Duties: Primary Duties but not limited to

• Responsible for GAS charts and SBP development as needed

• Training of and consultation with family members, waiver providers and other support providers on the purpose, objectives, methods, and documentation of the SBP face-to-face on its components

• Responsible to the SBS Manager

• Responsible for implementing only the SBP objectives in the ISP

• Responsible for the daily health and safety of the individuals

• Attend and provide feedback at ISP Meetings

• Responsible for all duties related to direct-care and Activities of Daily Life

• Responsible for reporting incidents to Direct Supervisor and Incident Manager

• Responsible for adhering to the Policies and Procedures of the Company

• Attend monthly SBS staff meetings

• Maintain progress notes

• Tracking & sending the SBS Manger their weekly Utilization

• Must be a Team player

• Lead by example for all company values

• Other duties assigned


Skills/Qualification:

• Candidates are required to have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with

Autistic individuals.

• Must have Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education or a Human Service field related to Social Work, Psychology, Education or at least a Bachelors

Degree in another field and 3 or more years’ experience (at least 20 hours a week) directly supporting individuals with ASD in the community.

• Complete required training developed by BAS regarding Systematic Skill Building for people with ASD and other trainings required for this service.

• Professional technology skills

• Good written and oral communication skills

• Knowledge of computers and iPads

• Strong organizational skills

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with groups and individuals

• Ability to maintain current needs assessment information

Compensation: Salary (depends on experience), mileage reimbursement

Bonus payments contingent upon meeting new hire expectations for submission timelines and performance.
