Job description

The Paramedic or Hospital RN/Paramedic provides direct patient care to patients requiring emergency treatment and transport, in the out of hospital setting and during inter-facility transports. He/she is an active member of the OCAHS ambulance team. The RN delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. He/she is required to carry out all general staff duties in acute care.
He/she assists with inpatient and outpatient services within his/her scope of practice to include assisting with respiratory treatments, EKG's, injections, infusions, and patient monitoring during procedures. He/she also assists with patient care in the emergency room.

Education Requirements:
Must have either National Registry Paramedic or Iowa Paramedic license or RN licensure in the state of Iowa. ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC certifications required.
Job Schedule:
0-12 hours/week. 1 shift per month required, additional shifts available to pick up.
