About the Fellowship:
Embark on an immersive 18-month post-graduate program designed to cultivate future leaders in healthcare operations. This fellowship offers a unique opportunity to gain diverse skills and broad exposure to strategic & analytical thinking, business excellence, and leadership development within the dynamic environment of CommonSpirit Health. Through focused rotational learning and hands-on project leadership, you will prepare to excel in various operational settings. This program offers distinctive opportunities tailored to provide deep expertise and leadership development in specific regions or markets areas. This in-person fellowship has an anticipated start date in July 2027 in the below locations

  • Diverse Operations Experiences: These fellowships offer diverse experiences in healthcare strategy, operations, and leadership development, ranging from supporting hospital networks to implementing market-wide improvement plans and contributing to regional leadership initiatives.The following locations over the listed specific focuses:
    • California Region, Sacramento Market, Sacramento CA: This fellowship's specific focus is on experiential executive leadership and strategic project execution within a complex "Hub and Spoke" market, where the fellow will drive diverse operational and clinical initiatives across multiple facilities, including specialty services and new facility planning.
    • Central Region, Arizona Market, Phoenix, AZ: The Administrative Fellow in the Arizona Market will specifically focus on comprehensive leadership integration and project management support by actively participating in the Market Cabinet team's strategic discussions and leading or contributing to various projects across the market.
    • Central Region, Critical Access Hospitals Market, Omaha, NE: This fellowship is specifically focused on operational leadership within Critical Access Hospitals, preparing the fellow for their post-fellowship role by having them support hospital presidents, lead operational projects, and engage directly with the Market Team.
    • Health at Home, Remote: The Health at Home Administrative Fellow will specifically focus on advancing "Care in the Home" strategies and operations, gaining direct experience with senior leadership in business development, clinical programming, and integration efforts across a broad network of home-based care services.
    • Mountain Region, Denver, CO and Salt Lake City, UT: The Mountain Region Administrative Fellows will focus on driving strategic initiatives and regional coordination by leading major interdisciplinary projects and actively participating in senior executive decision-making across all markets from the region office.
    • South Region, Southeast TN/ North GA Market, Chattanooga, TN: This fellowship offers a specific focus on operational and strategic project leadership within a multidisciplinary environment, providing extensive exposure to administrative, physician, and board-level decision-making, particularly in performance improvement and analytics.

What You'll Need:

Master’s Degree in either:

  • Master of Health Administration (MHA)
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Master of Public Health (MPH)
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
  • Or equivalent degree from an accredited graduate program

Graduation Status: Completion of all on-campus requirements and eligibility to graduate upon fellowship completion
Experience: Less than 5 years of professional experience.
Graduation Date: Must have graduated with an applicable Master’s Degree between Spring 2024 and Spring 2028.
Passion: A passion for CommonSpirit Health's mission and a commitment to "humankindness."
Commitment: A strong interest in healthcare management and leadership.
