What is a BCBA in technology?

A BCBA, or Board Certified Behavior Analyst, in technology is a professional who applies principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) using technological tools to improve learning, behavioral outcomes, or therapy delivery. They may design, implement, and monitor technology-assisted interventions for individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities. This can include using apps, software, data tracking systems, and telehealth platforms to enhance behavioral assessment and treatment. BCBA technology specialists help integrate digital solutions to make ABA therapy more effective and accessible.

How does a BCBA integrate technology into their daily practice to enhance client outcomes?

In the BCBA role, technology is often leveraged to streamline data collection, monitor client progress, and facilitate communication with stakeholders. Tools like electronic data capture systems, telehealth platforms, and behavior tracking apps allow BCBAs to efficiently analyze data and adjust treatment plans in real time. Adapting to these technologies can be a learning curve, but they ultimately enable more informed decision-making and better collaboration with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a BCBA specializing in technology, and why are they important?

To excel as a BCBA specializing in technology, you need a solid background in applied behavior analysis, a BCBA certification, and a deep understanding of integrating technology into behavioral interventions. Familiarity with data collection software, telehealth platforms, and digital behavior tracking tools is typically required. Strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and effective communication skills help you collaborate with teams and tailor technology solutions to client needs. These skills are crucial for leveraging technology to enhance treatment effectiveness, increase efficiency, and improve client outcomes in behavioral health settings.

Job description

Complete Behavior Consulting is growing, and we’re looking for a BCBA or BCBA candidate to join our team serving individuals and families throughout Weld County and surrounding Northern Colorado communities.

We provide individualized ABA services across the lifespan—from early intervention and pediatrics to adults. Our approach is centered on meaningful relationships, practical skill development, and care that is tailored to each individual rather than a one-size-fits-all model.

This is a primarily direct-care clinical position for someone who enjoys working directly with clients and families and wants to make a meaningful difference in their everyday lives.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide direct, individualized ABA services in home, community, school, and/or telehealth settings
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment programs
  • Conduct assessments and functional behavior assessments as appropriate
  • Collect and analyze data to guide clinical decision-making
  • Monitor progress and adjust programming based on client needs
  • Teach meaningful skills that promote communication, independence, coping, social development, and community participation
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, case managers, and other members of the individual’s support team
  • Provide caregiver and team training
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in supervision, consultation, and ongoing clinical development

Who We’re Looking For

BCBA applicants:

  • Current BCBA certification in good standing
  • Strong clinical and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable providing direct services
  • Organized, dependable, and able to work independently
  • Passionate about individualized, person-centered care

BCBA candidates / students:

We welcome Master’s-level clinicians and students pursuing BCBA certification. Restricted and unrestricted fieldwork hours are available, with ongoing supervision and opportunities to build practical clinical skills through direct ABA services.

Our Clients

We serve individuals across the lifespan, including:

  • Early intervention
  • Pediatrics
  • Adolescents
  • Adults
  • Individuals with developmental disabilities and varying levels of support needs

Our services may take place in the home, community, school, or through telehealth depending on the individual's needs.

What We Offer

  • Flexible scheduling
  • CEU reimbursement
  • Technology reimbursement
  • Primarily direct-care clinical work
  • In-home, community, school, and telehealth opportunities
  • Supportive clinical supervision and collaboration
  • Opportunities to work with clients across the lifespan
  • Opportunities for professional growth
  • A small, growing organization where your clinical voice matters
  • A focus on quality care rather than simply building a large caseload

Why Complete Behavior Consulting?

We believe ABA should be individualized, respectful, practical, and meaningful.

Our goal is to provide care that fits the person—not force the person to fit a program.

Expert Care. Genuine Compassion. Real Change.

If you’re a BCBA—or a BCBA candidate looking for an opportunity to grow your clinical skills while providing meaningful direct care—we’d love to hear from you.

Location: Weld County, Boulder County, and surrounding Northern Colorado communities
Position: BCBA / BCBA Candidate
Employment Type: Full Time, Part Time
Schedule: Flexible
Compensation: $42-$55 DOE (BCBA)
