Internship Travel Rbt information

Where do RBT's make the most money?

Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) tend to earn higher salaries in regions with a higher cost of living and greater demand for behavioral health services, such as urban areas or states with expanded healthcare funding. Salary can also increase with experience, certifications, and working in specialized settings like clinics or schools.

Why do RBTs quit?

RBTs (Registered Behavior Technicians) often quit due to high caseloads, emotional burnout, low pay, limited career advancement, and challenging client behaviors. Job satisfaction can also be affected by lack of support or supervision, especially when managing complex cases without adequate training or resources.

What other jobs can I do with RBT experience?

With RBT experience, individuals can pursue roles such as behavioral technician, autism support specialist, or behavioral health technician, which involve implementing behavior intervention plans and working directly with clients. Skills gained as an RBT, including data collection and understanding of behavioral principles, are valuable in related fields like special education, mental health support, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy. Certification requirements and supervision standards may vary for these roles.

Job description

At Woven Care, we've intentionally built a culture that embraces challenges: we are both incredibly driven by clinical excellence while encouraging fun (we do work with kids after all!). We believe deeply in the day-to-day impact of our work while also providing opportunities for long-term career growth and leadership opportunities for our clinical team members. We offer real flexibility and manageable caseloads while supporting our team members and being truly collaborative on every case. We think this is what makes Woven Care such a special place to work and why such special people choose to work with us!

What You'll Earn

  • $22–$27/hour based on experience and certification
  • $500 sign-on bonus for all new RBT hires
  • Up to $9,000 in tuition assistance — whether you're pursuing your BCBA, a master's degree, or a completely different path in healthcare
  • 30 guaranteed hours/week — client cancellations don't affect your paycheck
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
  • PTO that grows with your tenure + six paid holidays

Your Schedule

In-home, Monday–Friday. No weekends unless desired, no late nights. Scheduling is aligned with client availability within your assigned area, with a typical window of 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Supervision is provided through a combination of telehealth and in-person overlap with your BCBA.

Where This Role Can Take You

We invest in your next step, whatever that looks like:

  • Lead RBT — take on additional responsibilities while deepening your clinical skills
  • Mentor RBT — support fellow RBTs and contribute to team culture
  • QASP-S — oversee treatment quality across ABA programs
  • BCBA — we support RBTs pursuing their master's degree with internships and tuition assistance
  • OT, PT, SLP, or healthcare administration — we'll support whichever direction you choose

What You'll Do Day-to-Day

  • Deliver one-on-one ABA sessions with children with autism, ADHD, and other developmental challenges — in their homes
  • Bring individualized treatment plans to life through hands-on, child-centered sessions
  • Support parent and caregiver engagement by modeling strategies and communicating professionally as directed by your BCBA
  • Collect accurate session data and track real progress with kids and families
  • Collaborate regularly with your supervising BCBA through telehealth and in-person overlap sessions
  • Travel between client homes within your assigned geographic region

What You'll Need

  • Active RBT certification or have completed your 40-hour training and are scheduled to sit for your exam. Or join us as a BT and work towards your certification with us!
  • High school diploma or equivalent (proof required upon hire)
  • 18 years or older
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between client homes
  • Ability to work independently while following clinical guidance
  • Genuine passion for working with children

This role involves active, physical work: you'll be on your feet, on the floor, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. It's energetic by design.
