Butterfly Home Care of Manassas is looking for compassionate and dependable in-home personal care aides to support clients in Gainesville, Haymarket, Bristow, Nokesville, and surrounding western Prince William County communities.

This role is ideal for someone who wants meaningful work close to home while helping individuals remain safe, supported, and respected in their daily lives.

Position Overview

In-home personal care aides provide non-medical support to clients based on their individual care plan or service plan. Team members may assist with personal care, daily routines, companionship, light household support, documentation, and safety-related needs.

This position does not provide skilled nursing or medical care. Team members receive training and guidance from nursing and office leadership.

Duties May Include
  • Supporting clients with activities of daily living and personal care tasks

  • Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and safety supervision as assigned

  • Following the client’s established care plan

  • Preparing simple meals and assisting with light housekeeping tasks

  • Encouraging independence, dignity, and client choice

  • Providing companionship and respectful communication

  • Supporting safe routines in the home and community when assigned

  • Recording services and observations accurately in the electronic health record or case record system

  • Reporting changes in condition, incidents, refusals of care, progress, or concerns to supervisory staff

  • Maintaining confidentiality and following organization policies and applicable requirements

  • Checking and recording vital signs only if required by the client’s care plan and allowed by training and role expectations

Candidate Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Reliable transportation to client homes

  • Ability to complete onboarding before providing direct client care

  • Must complete required background screening

  • TB screening/clearance documentation required after a conditional offer

  • PCA certification, Personal Care Assistant training, or willingness to complete required training

  • Ability to work independently and communicate with the care team

  • Previous caregiving, direct support, PCA, CNA, HHA, companion, or disability support experience is helpful

Compensation and Differentials

We use a tiered pay structure based on the type of work performed, qualifications, availability, and the needs of the client assignment.

  • Pay range: $15.00–$20.00 per hour

  • Paid orientation and required training

  • Additional client-need or performance differentials may apply for higher-need clients, weekend/evening shifts, difficult-to-staff assignments, or urgent coverage

Overtime, when applicable, is paid in accordance with federal and Virginia wage and hour laws.

Scheduling

Flexible schedules may be available, including:

  • Part-time

  • Full-time

  • PRN/as-needed

  • Weekends

  • Evenings

  • Overnight shifts
