Key Responsibilities
  • Direct physical therapy interventions aimed at preventing disabilities and alleviating pain, while improving and restoring muscle function according to individualized care plans.
  • Evaluate client functionality through comprehensive diagnostic testing and assessments, taking into consideration muscle, joint, and nerve capabilities.
  • Deliver engaging physical therapy services at clients’ residences, ensuring treatments align with prescribed protocols established by referring physicians.
  • Implement manual therapeutic exercises and supervise clients during non-manual approaches, ensuring engagement and proper technique.
  • Administer therapeutic interventions such as traction, massage, and use of physical agents to reduce pain and improve mobility.
  • Assess and recommend enhancements to clients' home environments that promote independence and rehabilitation.
  • Prepare and maintain thorough clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to partake in case conferences, contributing valuable insights for client treatment planning and therapy adjustments.
  • Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring compliance with care protocols and state regulations.
  • Advise clients and their families on physical therapy devices and programs for maintaining effective home care.
  • Document all clinical and payroll-related orders in a timely manner according to branch policy.
  • Remain accessible to assist and guide Physical Therapy Assistants during client treatments, promoting a collaborative work environment.
