Job description

A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree is preferred in special education or mental health-related fields, with at least two years of experience.
Location: South Orange County, CA
A family is looking for part-time direct companion care for a 34-year-old adult male with autism.
Skills:
• Experience with Autistic Adults
• Psychosocial approach for the plan of care VS a behavioral approach.
• Clinical judgment with a strength-based approach to adjust techniques according to the client's needs.
• Employ positive behavior support strategies to reduce the occurrence of challenging behavior.
• Supportive partnership with client and family. Maintain professionalism and uphold confidentiality and respect.
• Flexible work availability, 2 to 3 times a week, for 4-hour shifts.
If you have had experience with any of the following fields, you are encouraged to apply:
Care for adults with autism or direct care for mental health clients.
The qualifications include a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field, such as psychology, education, social work, or other relevant disciplines. Additional requirements are flexibility, residency in Orange County, and possession of a valid driver's license and a vehicle.
