1099 Contractor 1099-TRAMATIC BRAIN INJURY SPECIALIST (TBI) - VES

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Medical Provider – 1099 Contract

Company: Trusted Medical, PLLC
Location: Kansas City, KS
Schedule: Monday–Friday | No weekends or holidays

Position Summary

Trusted Medical is seeking qualified providers to conduct Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) disability evaluations for Veterans and transitioning Service Members.

This is an assessment-only role. No ongoing treatment, medication management, or long-term patient care is required.

Key Duties
  • Conduct face-to-face TBI evaluations.
  • Review medical history, injury history, and current symptoms.
  • Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and functional impairments.
  • Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and required documentation.
  • Follow VA guidelines and clinical protocols.
  • Submit accurate and timely documentation.
Qualifications
  • MD, DO, PhD, or PsyD, depending on specialty and VA/client requirements.
  • Active, unrestricted license in the state of practice.
  • Relevant specialty may include:
  • Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)
  • Clinical Psychology with TBI or neuropsychology experience
  • Other qualified specialties related to TBI, neurological, cognitive, or brain injury assessment
  • Board Certification, Board Eligibility, or specialty training as required.
  • Current BLS certification, if required.
  • Strong assessment, medical record review, and documentation skills.
Additional Requirements
  • TB screening and Hepatitis B titer within one year.
  • Experience working with Veterans or military populations preferred.
  • EHR and Microsoft Office experience preferred.
