We are currently seeking a Brain Injury Specialist to join our Iowa Clinical Department. As a Brain Injury Specialist, you'll work directly with individuals to assess their needs, develop personalized care plans, and connect them with essential services and supports. Key Responsibilities
  • Adheres to the CareStar Rule in performance of job responsibilities.
  • Understands and complies with CareStar Policies and Procedures.

  • Maintains confidentiality as related to patient information. Any disclosures of confidential information made unlawfully outside the proper course of duty will be treated as a serious disciplinary offence.

  • Follows the Acceptable Use Policy while using any information systems owned or controlled by CareStar.

  • Conduct assessments and documentation related to behavioral/intellectual functioning, support needs, and related service planning.

  • Gather information from members, caregivers, providers, and collateral contacts as appropriate.

  • Accurately enter and maintain assessment data in required systems.

  • Identify risks, service needs, and referral concerns, and communicate them appropriately.

  • Participate in quality assurance reviews, training, and performance improvement activities.
    Minimum Qualifications

  • Current and active license as a Licensed Psychologist, Neuropsych, or Rehab Specialist.
  • Experience with developmental disability services, behavioral supports, or assessment work preferred.

  • Effective organizational, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.

  • Effective computer skills with familiarity with suite of Microsoft Office programs.

  • Reliable transportation to travel within assigned region as business requires.

  • Valid driver's license and car insurance as required by State law.
