Job description

Amazon's Next Generation ReLo Centers (NGRC) program is revolutionizing returns processing through advanced automation, robotics, and innovative facility design. As a Sr. Program Manager for NGRC, you will drive the execution of complex, multi-site launch and automation deployments that improve speed, quality, and cost efficiency in returns processing. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, product, and other internal teams to deliver world-class automation solutions across Amazon's US returns network.
** This role require around 30% travel**
Key job responsibilities
Program Execution & Delivery :
- Manage complex projects involving MHE (Material Handling Equipment), robotics, sortation systems and facility infrastructure
- Drive on-time, on-budget delivery by developing detailed project plans, tracking milestones, and proactively managing risks and dependencies
- Coordinate with GES PMO to ensure compliance with capital project processes, safety signoffs, and design standards
- Own project-level budgets and resource allocation, partnering with Finance to track spend and forecast accurately
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned NGRC projects, coordinating across Product, Robotics, Operations, Safety, and Finance teams
- Facilitate design reviews, readiness assessments, and go-live planning with cross-functional stakeholders
Stakeholder Communication
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project status reporting including weekly updates, Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), and executive briefings
- Communicate project health, risks, and mitigation plans clearly to senior leadership
- Escalate blockers and critical issues appropriately with proposed solutions
- Create and maintain project documentation including charters, RACI matrices, and lessons learned
Risk & Issue Management
- Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Track and resolve issues that could impact scope, schedule, budget, or quality
- Manage dependencies across multiple workstreams and projects
- Ensure safety compliance throughout all phases of project execution
About the team
The Next Generation ReLo Centers (NGRC) team is a cross-functional organization within Relo Ops Excellence, driving the transformation of Amazon's returns processing network through automation and innovation. The team operates at the intersection of product development, engineering, operations, and program management to deliver world-class returns centers that set new standards for speed, quality, and cost efficiency
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Knowledge of general AI tools

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
