Location: UCHealth UCHlth Admin Lowry, US:CO:Denver

Department: UCHlth Denials Mgt Payer Audit

Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)  

Shift: Days 

Pay: 18.54 - 24.10 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary:

  • Enters and tracks the status of external audit activity from initial audit request through appeal lifecycle in department-specific applications

Responsibilities:

  • Performs data entry utilizing a variety sources to capture patient claim information. Validates and verifies data entered by checking reports for errors and correcting as needed.
  • Extracts information from data base to compile reports and other documents as needed. Communicates with external entities involved in the audit process.
  • Maintains knowledge to interpret, understand, and apply complex Medicare guidelines regarding claims denials and appeals as well as third-party vendor requirements for review of denials.
  • Problem-solves claims issues or software tracking issues and reports recurring or unusual issues to supervisor.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in high volume data entry with high levels of accuracy.
