About the RoleThe Home Aide at Purpose Care Home Health plays a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to individuals in their own homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position focuses on assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and medication reminders, to promote independence and improve quality of life. Through attentive observation and communication, the aide will identify any changes in the client's condition and report them promptly to the appropriate medical personnel. Ultimately, this role is essential in supporting clients to live safely and comfortably in their home environment while maintaining their dignity and respect.
Job Responsibilities- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide basic patient care including assisting with mobility and exercises as directed.
- Administer medication reminders and ensure clients follow prescribed treatment plans.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Observe and document changes in clients' physical or emotional condition and communicate these observations to healthcare supervisors.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients to enhance their mental and emotional well-being.
- Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures, including CPR and first aid when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications- Previous experience working as a home aide or in a similar caregiving role for a minimum of 1 year in a professional setting
- Has worked in a professional setting in the last 2 years.
- Additional certifications related to home health care or elder care.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Demonstrated experience or training in patient care or home health assistance.
- Ability to pass background checks and any required health screenings.
