The position is located in our outpatient office in the heart of San Francisco, where you will interact with a diverse patient demographic, ranging from those seeking relief from chronic pain to individuals looking to improve their overall wellness. • Conduct personalized acupuncture consultations, evaluating patients' needs and health histories to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Deliver therapeutic acupuncture sessions, utilizing acupuncture needles and other techniques to alleviate pain and promote healing.
• Document detailed visit summaries and treatment outcomes in our electronic medical record system, ensuring accurate patient follow-up plans.
• Educate patients, clients, community groups, and healthcare staff on the benefits of acupuncture and holistic health practices, enhancing community awareness and engagement.
• Provide group acupuncture sessions and acupressure workshops to promote wellness practices and foster community support.
• Perform related administrative duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

In this role, you will primarily serve outpatients seeking acupuncture for a variety of conditions including chronic pain, stress relief, anxiety, and overall wellness improvement. While your focus will be on outpatient services, there are opportunities to engage with hospitalized patients, providing a holistic approach to recovery during their hospital stay. Your expertise will play a critical role in improving patient outcomes through individualized care.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Acupuncture or a related field from an institution accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM).
• Current acupuncture license in the state of California.
• A minimum of two years of experience in an acupuncture practice.
• Exceptional professionalism, including appropriate appearance, presentation, and demeanor in all interactions.
• Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service both in-person and through digital channels.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients and colleagues alike.

While two years of experience is required, candidates with additional experience in integrative medicine or complementary therapies will be highly regarded. Familiarity with documenting in electronic medical records and a strong foundation in patient education practices will enhance your candidacy.
