Job description

Hog Slat, Inc., the world's leading provider of parts, equipment and turn-key construction to the swine & poultry industries is seeking individuals with warehouse experience to join our Warehousing Team at our distribution center in Clinton, NC location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Warehouse team members are generally assigned to either Shipping or Receiving; however, on occasion there is the opportunity to work in both areas as needed. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change.
Receiving
  • Identify and verify quantity and condition of a wide variety of incoming materials and supplies
  • Use powered lift trucks (standing and seated), hand carts, power jacks, etc. to unload, stack and transport materials for shelving
  • Use barcode labels and scanners to track locations and maintain accurate inventory levels
Shipping
  • Working from requisitions, identify and pull a wide variety of items for delivery
  • Use powered lift trucks (standing and seated), hand carts, power jacks, etc. To transport materials for packaging and/or shipping
  • Pack a variety of materials for shipment using boxes, banding, shrink wrap, etc.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
The ideal candidate will have the following experience/educational background:
  • Minimum 3-5 years Power lift experience (sit-down and/or standing) is generally required, certification preferred
  • Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Level of competency in basic math (add/subtract/multiply), measurements, weights, etc.
  • Level of comfort working in a safe manner at heights of 10'-12' on a regular basis (note: all lift equipment is either enclosed or has safety harnesses and restraints for fall protection)
  • Familiarity with Hog/Poultry industry is helpful
  • Familiar with scan gun operations is helpful
