Job description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Plans, develops, and manages athletic programming, including competitions and events
  • Supervises event logistics, such as set up, ticketing, referee liaison, crowd control, and parking
  • Oversees routine maintenance of athletic facilities
  • Hires, supervises, and mentors students supporting athletic equipment operations
  • Coordinates closely with game and event officials
  • Supports bids for National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) championships and other conference events
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Knowledge of higher education athletic programs and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) administrative rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of and experience with event management systems and related software
  • Knowledge of facility maintenance, event setup, and safety protocols
  • Skill in multi-tasking, organization, and prioritizing
  • Ability to establish, build, and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment

Minimum Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered

Specialized Contributor Level 2 - A fully functional role requiring established knowledge of the profession or field of work. Responsible for completing substantive assignments and projects. Reporting to the Assistant Director for Athletic & Ice Hockey Operations, the Hockey Operations Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations and equipment needs for the division I ice hockey teams. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following areas: management of team supplies and equipment, organization of all aspects of team operations, pursuit of personal and professional development activities and other duties as assigned by hockey staff and administration.
