Job description

Job Title: Principal Solutions Architect, Pharma/PBM Location: Owings Mills, Maryland Type: Contract-to-Hire Compensation: $97.25 Work Model: Hybrid – remote Hours: 40.0

Principal Solutions Architect – Pharmacy Benefits Integration (Facets G6, EDI) Responsibilities

  • Establish strategic technology direction and create solution architecture for large complex initiatives/projects.
  • Design technical solutions for complex business problems aligning with industry and enterprise standards.
  • Provide technical oversight and strategic guidance to IT project teams during planning and implementation phases.
  • Translate business strategies into cohesive solution architectures, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture.
  • Lead solutions design and analysis for complex projects, defining components, integrations, and deployment strategies.
  • Coordinate solution delivery, ensuring architecture compliance and supporting implementation governance.
  • Partner with project managers, product owners, and business leaders to support solution architecture and future business needs.
  • Maintain industry and technology expertise, evaluate emerging technologies, and develop strategies for architecture migration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT related field
  • 10 years experience as an infrastructure architect
  • Experience with large-scale systems development, implementation, and maintenance
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare payer and PBM operations, including pharmacy benefit management and end-to-end pharmacy benefit lifecycle
  • Comprehensive understanding of healthcare interoperability standards and regulations (HIPAA, CMS, NCPDP, HL7, FHIR, X12)
  • Strong API, event-driven, batch, EDI, and real-time integration skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence and coordinate across multiple teams
  • Solution and integration architecture design experience, with expertise in emerging technologies like cloud, AI/ML, big data, and robotics
