Job description


Job Summary: The IT/OT System Strategy Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to optimize the convergence of Information Technology and Operational Technology. The Manager will oversee the planning, design, and implementation of these systems to ensure alignment with business objectives, established standards and best practices. They will work closely with the IT and OT teams to develop and execute projects that securely improve processes, and operational efficiency. The role requires a deep understanding of both IT and OT systems as well as a broad knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the convergence between IT and OT systems.
  • Ensure the alignment of IT/OT systems with business objectives.
  • Identify emerging technologies and industry trends and assess their potential impact on the organization's IT/OT convergence strategy.
  • Gauge the security, effectiveness and resiliency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving, converging, or further leveraging these systems.
  • Involved in proof-of-concept efforts and evaluates new technologies that drive operational efficiency to achieve IT/OT objectives and business goals.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to ensure the security, resiliency, and scalability of converged IT/OT systems and infrastructure.
  • Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of IT/OT projects.
  • Collaborate with IT and OT teams to develop and execute projects that improve processes, network resiliency and operational efficiency.
  • Partner to develop OT change control, security policies, procurement practices and audit requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure the successful implementation of IT/OT projects.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's IT/OT systems, processes, and objectives.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for IT/OT convergence, process improvement and systems optimization.
  • Provide guidance and support to IT/OT project teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensure IT/OT systems are aligned to company standards and industry best practices.
  • Monitor IT/OT systems resiliency and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
  • Periodic travel – less than 25%

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of functional experience in IT or OT.
  • Understanding of IT/OT convergence design and architecture.
  • Experience in project management and process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong understanding of IT and OT systems including infrastructure and applications.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects.
  • Understanding of related industry standards and best practices frameworks such as NIST 800-82, CPWE, and ISA/IEC 62443.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing systems (ICS, MES, QCS, data historian, process technology and analytics) running in a highly available production environment.
  • Data-driven leader.
  • Technical experience with OT systems, processes and technologies preferred.
  • Cisco CCNP or CCIE certification preferred.
